1 – Inktense Paint Pan Travel Set/12. These colors work like standard watercolor with one small difference; once the inktense colors are on the paper and dry, they cannot dissolve (like standard water-soluble watercolors). You can layer colors easier and work pen & ink on top of the inktense colors without fear of the color shifting or mixing. Perfect for quick, on-the-go color. This set contains 12 Inktense paint pans, a mini waterbrush, a sponge and a mixing palette.
1 – Goldfaber 24 Watercolor Tin. We tried to find the best watercolor pencil that will give you the intensity of a full-prized pencil with a little value. The Goldfaber pencils are made by the same people that make the Durer pencil; they tweaked the lead size and varnish to help bring the price down without losing quality. Also available in a 36 and 48 pencil tin.
1 – Tendo Travel Brush #4. One of favorites right now. Folds in for travel, the hair is a synthetic imitation of squirrel hair. Extra soft, comes to a nice point and holds water better than most synthetics. The Aqua Journal has an elastic holder for this style of travel brush.
1 – 3B General pencil. A soft graphite pencil to lay out guidelines or sketch with.
1 – Sand Eraser. This is a secret just between us. This eraser is amazing, and if you do nothing else, buy one of these. Technically they are made of natural rubber latex and silica grit that removes ink marks, including ballpoint, rollerball and some marker. In our world they take out colored pencil, water-color pencil and graphite really well!
1 – .08 LePen Technical. Black ink, permanent when dry. You can ink over dried watercolors or draw your lines and fill in with color. Also available in 4 or 8 pen sets.
1 – 662-57 7”x10” Vision Mixed Media Pad. 70 sheets of 93# paper. Of the two pads included, our theory is this the paper for sketches and light-washes while the Bee pad is a little better suited to heavier color and water applications!
1 – BEE Creative Mixed Media 6”x9” pad. 93# paper that is sized for water-media. Paper is distinctly two-side with a textured side and a smooth-side to every page. Heavy double wire binding helps the books lay flat or pages fold under. Heavy chipboard covers and backs help when traveling. Micro-perforated pages for easy removal.
1 – Little Red Sharpener. Simple little tool to help keep your pencils sharp. As goofy as it sounds, we like this red sharpener the best; it is lightweight and easy to find in a mix of stuff!
* You may still want/need to supply a bag, pack or carrying case. The individual items selected are built for travel and storage, but we didn’t supply a carrier. It would up the cost and we know what you choose to haul your materials is cooler than what we could ever supply.
